When you think of an engagement session in Mexico, you might think about Cancun and beach.​ But this Mexican engagement inspiration is a really special one. Jose Villa and his Jose Villa Workshop team put an incredible Mexican engagement session together at the stunning Hotel & Spa Hacienda El Carmen. This hacienda is so charming with its typical Mexican colors of red and yellow. I simply adored this Mexico engagement session with a pop of color!

Once Arai and Felipe’s looks were complete, we took the couple out and strolled around the pretty Hacienda El Carmen. As a destination wedding photographer, it was especially exciting for me to explore a Mexican hacienda since I had never been to one before. I loved the colors of the buildings, the green color and texture of the cacti, and the landscaping which featured beautiful water elements.

This destination engagement session was indeed a one of a kind. I would love to go back to photograph more authentic hacienda engagement sessions and weddings in Mexico!
