STYLISH MEXICO ENGAGEMENT PORTRAITS IN GUADALAJARA

Bride-to-be wearing sparkly gold midriff top with modern black pants and a cream jacket with hair style bun complementing retro vibe look in dimly-lit hall

I’m never disappointed by Jose Villa Workshops, and this workshop was no exception! I was so excited to photograph these styled Mexico engagement portraits with Brenda and Evan at the beautiful Hotel & Spa Hacienda El Carmen.

Summer Watkins, who is also the owner of Grey Likes Weddings, was in charge of the outfits. Wow…she picked some amazing attire! Brenda wore a sparkly gold midriff top with modern black pants. A cream jacket rounded out her look, which was very unique for an engagement session. Mar from Team Hair and Makeup created a bun that matched the bride’s contemporary-retro vibe perfectly. I simply adored Brenda’s look! To complement her attire, Ivan wore a blue suit with a black tie. What a stylish pair they made!

Sophisticated & Stylish Mexico Engagement Portraits

Although our couple wore modern attire, we took their engagement portraits in an amazing Mexican hacienda with an Old World feel. The contrast worked beautifully and really made these photos pop. Throughout our shoot, Brenda and Evan strolled around the colorful hacienda, snuggling together just like people in love do. My favorite backdrop featured yellow stairs with a dark wooden door underneath. The dark door highlighted the creamy color of the jacket Brenda wore, and the hacienda’s yellow walls picked up the color and shine in Brenda’s glittering gold top.

Last but not least, the couple posed in the dimly-lit hacienda hall. The low lighting created a soft black backdrop that really made Brenda’s attire stand out. The end result was a stunning and stylish portrait for our bride-to-be! Are you thinking of planning a destination wedding in Mexico? Be sure to take a look at Brenda and Ivan’s styled wedding shoot as well!
