Katharina & Marco
ENGAGED IN MUNICH
MUNICH, GERMANY
As you may know by now, I am originally from Munich, Germany, and I love to go back every year to see family and friends. But this time around it was a special occasion that took me back to Munich…Marco and Katharina’s wedding weekend! Before they exchanged vows, I photographed their engagement portraits in Munich.
As a Munich native, I am very familiar with the city and know that it has so much to offer when it comes to beautiful backdrops. Munich is dotted with lovely parks, fountains, and classic buildings making it easy to find the perfect corner for an engagement session! I love photographing destination weddings, engagement sessions, and honeymoons in the city where I was born. It doesn’t get a lot more special than that!
I simply loved Marco and Katharina’s elegant and sophisticated style. For our first shots, Katharina wore a playful khaki-green dress from Ted Baker, one of my favorite English designers. With their first wardrobe selections made, we began shooting in the heart of Munich near the massive water fountain at Lenbachplatz park. Marco and Katharina danced away and I just adored how Katharina’s dress whirled while they spun!
Katharina purchased a bouquet from her favorite floral store in Munich called Blumen die Leben, which literally translated means Flowers are alive. The colors she chose for the bouquet were a perfect match for her stunning attire. Later on, we went to an even more impressive backdrop in Munich—an area with lots of old architectural buildings. Katharina’s classic black lace dress fit the scene beautifully.
