Originally founded as a Cistercian convent in the late 12th century, Villa Monastero was later transformed into a prestigious lakeside residence. The villa’s renowned botanical garden stretches nearly two kilometers along the lakeshore, hosting exotic species such as palms, agaves, yuccas, citrus trees, cypresses, and cedars of Lebanon.
