      CASTLE WEDDING IN COLORADO

Growing up in Munich, Germany, I always used to visit castles in Bavaria. One of the most famous is the Neuschwanstein Castle. Built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, it’s essentially THE dream castle. Walt Disney actually used this castle as the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty and the castle that represents the Walt Disney brand as well.

When I moved to the United States, and especially after I moved to Colorado, I started missing those beautiful German castles and their architecture. One might think there are no castles around Colorado, but that couldn’t be further from the truth! While castles in Colorado don’t look exactly like European castles, they are beautiful in their own way. One of them is called Cherokee Ranch, and it happens to be one of my favorite Colorado wedding venues!

Cherokee Ranch is nestled in the heart of Sedalia. If you have ever dreamed of a fairytale wedding, this is your chance to say “I do” at a beautiful castle venue without ever leaving the States! The Cherokee Ranch and Castle is an atypical Colorado wedding venue your guests will never forget.

A BEAUTIFUL CASTLE WEDDING IN COLORADO

Inspired by European castle weddings, Grace & Gather Events together with Yonder House Design put together a beautiful ceremony and reception scene at Cherokee Ranch and Castle. The bride wore a stunning Galia Lahav lace dress with long sleeves that was a perfect fit for the classic and elegant wedding theme. A stunning flower ring and matching flower earrings accentuated with diamonds from Marchesa Fashion completed the bridal look.

Peonies, roses, ranunculus, and artichokes brought the tablescape design to life. Soft blush tones mixed with darker shades were used for the cocktail hour floral arrangements. The stairs of the castle’s tower were chosen as the ceremony site. Railings adorned by lush greenery made the perfect high-end backdrop for bridal portraits!
