Boulder is a very special place in Colorado. Boulder’s mountain range, the Flatirons, are truly unique. As a Boulder wedding photographer I always love to document weddings here, especially when they take place at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa. Ali and Josh’s winter wedding at St. Julien Hotel & Spa was truly unforgettable!
Their wedding design involved shades of green and white, which gave a special nod to their Irish heritage. Ali wore a stunning tulle ball gown and her bridesmaids wore green dresses. All florals were green and white and kept very minimalistic, similar to the look seen at Meghan Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry. Josh and his groomsmen wore black tuxes—the perfect choice for an elegant and classic ballroom wedding in Boulder.
DETAILS FROM ALI & JOSH’S WINTER WEDDING AT ST. JULIEN IN BOULDER
It was snowing while Ali and Josh got ready on their wedding day. Taking their portrait images inside the St. Julien wasn’t a problem at all. This beautiful Boulder wedding venue has a bright beautiful spa that is perfect for film photography. Ali and her ladies, including her cute little flower girls, had fun taking images in the spa area. Their attire was in perfect harmony with the light walls of the St. Julien Spa.
Once the bride and groom were ready to get married, it stopped snowing. This allowed Ali and Josh’s outdoor wedding to take place in the garden of the hotel as planned! The gazebo was adorned with lots of greenery to reflect their love for nature. The smallest flower girl was roaming around during their ceremony and caught my attention with her cute candid poses.
The tables at their wedding reception were covered by green velvet table linens—a lovely continuation of their Irish theme. Their cake table included three beautiful white cakes adorned with green and white florals. This pretty Boulder wedding was Irish through and through. I love seeing different wedding themes come together in Colorado, and I can’t wait for Ali & Josh’s winter wedding at St. Julien to be featured in Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine!
