MARCHESA FASHION, HORSES AND A PRIVATE RANCH IN COLORADO

MARCHESA FASHION, HORSES AND A PRIVATE RANCH IN COLORADO

Here comes a special engagement session that was very dear to me! Toni-Ann and Nick invited me to Nick’s family ranch in Colorado Springs. Nick grew up here alongside his siblings and horses, so Toni-Ann chose this meaningful location for their engagement session. Marchesa fashion, horses and a private ranch in Colorado combined to create their unique engagement theme.

A GREEN MARCHESA DRESS AND A HORSE ADORNED WITH GREEN FLORALS

Nick’s parents keep gorgeous horses on their ranch, and one of them—a lovely horse with a chestnut coat, belonging to Nick’s dad—made it into the engagement shoot! The horse was adorned with a beautiful floral neck wreath, created by the amazing Layers of Lovely. Toni-Ann wore a stunning green and black Marchesa lace dress, and Nick wore a classic collared shirt to complement his beautiful bride-to-be. Both matched perfectly with the floral accents in the horse’s wreath. In addition, Toni-Ann held an organic, colorful bouquet, also made by the very talented Catherine from Layers of Lovely. Together, we strolled around the ranch with their horse and dog, enjoying Colorado’s nature with beautiful views of Pikes Peak.

OUTFIT CHANGE! ELEGANT WHITES AND BLUES

I always recommend for my engagement sessions to show off two outfits, and Toni-Ann and Nick’s second ensemble was just as classic as their first. The beautiful bride-to-be wore a very elegant, sweeping white dress, and Nick complemented her with light trousers and a handsome blue jacket. The three of us explored Nick’s ranch, peeking into the hidden nooks and corners that make this home so special. In front of their garage, I discovered little handprints set into the concrete floor—and Nick had a fun story about their history. The day the concrete floor of the garage was poured, Nick and his siblings pressed their hands into the concrete, creating permanent prints. What a wonderful memory to keep!

I can’t wait for the couple’s fall wedding at Lyons Farmette later this year. If you want to get inspired by more engagement sessions involving animals, click here to browse through my past shoots.
