FALL WEDDING AT THE SONNENALP IN VAIL IN COLORADO

Caroline and Daniel chose to have their fall wedding at the Sonnenalp in Vail, Colorado, where the spectacular colors of fall foliage surrounded them. As a longtime Colorado Wedding photographer, I never grow tired of the beautiful Sonnenalp. The airy, bright interior of Ludwig’s restaurant with its Terrace is ideal for my film photography, offering a backdrop of soft colors. In addition, the Sonnenalp boasts a breathtaking view of Vail Mountain and Gore Creek. And the Sonnenalp’s swimming pool--which overlooks the gorgeous Vail scenery and mountain ranges--is the perfect location to host a cocktail hour. (To learn more about the Sonnenalp, click here!)

For her fall Vail wedding, Caroline chose a color palette of whites and natural greens to stand in harmony with the beauty of Colorado’s nature. Caroline wore a stunning modern gown by Anne Barge from the Little White Dress boutique based in the heart of Denver. Her updo completed an elegant and glamorous look. Daniel complemented her in his handsome black tux.

FALL COLORS IN VAIL

After the couple took their first look at the Sonnenalp, we ventured up the Vail mountain with the wedding party to take some range images and capture the beautiful fall colors--all the steps of a true Colorado wedding shoot. Back in the Vail valley, Caroline and Daniel had their dream ceremony in the gardens of the Sonnenalp. A ceremony arch adorned with green and white florals was the perfect backdrop to complete a lovely Sonnenalp Vail wedding.

RECEPTION AND DANCING AT THE SONNENALP

The ceremony was followed by a gorgeous cocktail hour, as guests enjoyed the mountain views from the swimming pool grounds. Caroline and Daniel’s reception site featured round tables delicately arranged with white table linen. Different centerpieces adorned different tables - high and low centerpieces of greens and whites to match the interior color scheme of Ludwig’s restaurant. When the time came for dancing, the tables were removed so guests had enough space to roam and enjoy themselves throughout this gorgeous venue.
