Are you newly engaged? Congratulations! An exciting season of wedding planning awaits you. While you are looking for a wedding planner to help you find your dream venue and vendors, you should also start thinking about booking your engagement session as soon as possible. I hope today’s engagement portraits in Denver, which took place on a charming rowboat, will inspire you!

As a Colorado wedding photographer, it is very important to me that couples not only book me for their wedding, but also for their engagement portraits. Engagement sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know one another on a more personal level. This ensures that you will both feel as relaxed as possible on your wedding day. Since they are already familiar with the way I work, I find that couples who book their engagement session and wedding day with me are less stressed on the Big Day. Less stress means more time for enjoying the party with family and friends. (Not to mention more fun taking images!)

It’s so much fun to dress up and think of a special idea for your engagement session, just like Erin and Sean did. Erin’s uncle built a fabulous green rowboat, and Erin had a vision to incorporate it into her engagement session at Denver City Park. Instead of going into downtown Denver or the mountains, Erin and Sean planned a unique, scenic session on the water in Denver City Park. She loves Champagne and fashion and he loves fly-fishing. I love that both of their interests were incorporated into their engagement portraits! There was just one cherry tree blooming during their April session, but we made it count. The vibrant pink blossoms created a spectacular backdrop. I simply adored this spring portrait session!

Style Me Pretty was equally fond of Erin and Sean’s vision for their Denver engagement portraits on the lake. Catch their online feature here!
