When you think of Denver engagement portraits you probably picture a couple posing in the heart of the Colorado mountains, right? Well, Olivia and Tim love the city and both grew up in Denver. This made a classic city engagement session the perfect choice for them!

I was delighted to document this couple’s stylish Denver engagement session. Olivia wore two incredible dresses and both of them photographed beautifully. I just loved the way they looked on camera! The first dress was a beaded Aidan Mattox frock in soft green that matched the lanterns of the Denver courthouse. Next, Olivia donned a lace dress in the loveliest shade of icicle blue that brought out the color of her eyes. Earrings from her favorite designer, Marchesa, and a stunning bouquet completed Olivia’s eye-catching look. Tim, our handsome groom-to-be, wore a classic black suit. It contrasted the soft colors and textures of Olivia’s attire and the courthouse building beautifully. Both of them simply looked adorable.

Their florist, Catherine from Layers of Lovely, is one of my favorite Colorado florists. She is extremely talented and makes any floral vision come true with her romantic look. She is also available in Las Vegas and for destination weddings, and works as a freelancer for the famous wedding planner Mindy Rice. You can’t go wrong if you choose her as your wedding florist!

Olivia and Tim walked along the columns of the classic Denver courthouse building, laughing and flirting as they enjoyed their engagement session. As a Denver engagement photographer, I love the different vision each couple has for their portrait session. Mountains, lakes, cityscapes…anything is possible when it comes to taking engagement portraits in Colorado!
